About MOT Mileage
MOT Mileage is an independent, free MOT and mileage check for UK drivers and used car buyers.
Where the information comes from
- Vehicle records come from DVSA's MOT history service, which covers vehicles tested in Great Britain since 2005 and in Northern Ireland since 2017. We look them up when you enter a registration and don't change them.
- Our analysis (mileage averages, drops, gaps and repeat advisories) is our own arithmetic on those records, and we label it as ours.
- Rules and fees come from GOV.UK, DVSA and nidirect. Every guide lists its sources.
Independence
We aren't part of DVSA, the DVA or GOV.UK, and we don't run MOT test centres. If we add links that earn us a commission, such as to paid vehicle history checks, they'll be clearly labelled and won't change what we show you.
